If I had what thread, for what purpose? Back in the late '90s and early '00s, a "thread" was what we now call a "board". "Threads" eventually became a chain of posts related by subject, but written by a number of different people. How can I "have" a thread?

And I'm not interested in using Google AI Mode or Perplexity. Both annoy me. Unfortunately, I can't avoid "AI Overview".

As I said, I have declined the blandishments of Apple Intelligence. I does get to me in one way. I I use Safair Messages--which I do fairly frequently--it often tries to tell me what to say. And when it does, its responses are NEVER anything like anything I'd say. And amazingly, I can think of a four or five word reply all by myself. Once it starts doing that, I can stop if for the rest of that conversation, but I can't seem to turn it off entirely.
