Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment that illustrates the quantum mechanical concept of superposition, where a cat in a sealed box is considered to be both alive and dead until the box is opened and the system is observed. The experiment was designed to highlight the paradoxes that arise when applying quantum rules, which govern subatomic particles, to everyday, macroscopic objects. The "cat" state is only resolved into a single outcome (either alive or dead) when a measurement is made, such as opening the box.

So does that mean AI's results may be right, wrong, or perhaps both until they're verified by someone using a source that's generally considered credible?

That actually sounds correct.
