Facing threats and intimidation, Indiana Republicans will vote on redistricting after all

Indiana Senate GOP leaders now say they’ll reconvene Dec. 8 to consider a new congressional map, a reversal that benefits President Donald Trump’s push to engineer more Republican seats ahead of the 2026 midterm. Their decision comes after Republican state lawmakers faced a wave of threats for rejecting the president’s demand for a gerrymander.
