That's how the old timers in my day thought things would work out for the better. 

My grandmother...
When I was a kid i developed a wart on my hand.She swore it was from playing with frogs. My grandma's cure was rubbing an un cooked baked potato on the wart then cutting it half. 

Throw one half in the garbage and burying the other half in the garden would get rid of it. 


It didn't work.
