Guns at the border and Cartels in Mexico

Cartels are back on their heals after losing all the human trafficking money which was in the 10s of billions.....They are currently scrambling to gain power in different places which explains the rise in corruption and organized crime throughout Mexico you noted last eve....... To add, cartels also kinda got along over the past years, plenty to go around ;) , now competition is also heating up.........The cartels are still fat with cash from the past, Mexico has its work cut out for them in the coming yrs. The cartels aren't going away just because the border has been secured and it only adds to their history of corruption...

The moderators guns are a red herring...... With a closed border less guns get across, duh, like less people etc get across coming this way......A bit of common sense which seems to be beyond the biased....

And adding to it, Mexico has stepped up it crossing security now...They treat incoming traffic like the US does.....They are going after guns like we go after dope and doing a pretty good job......

My brother in law is a retired station chief down there, he still keeps in touch with people he knows....

The Mexican people are sick of the cartels and as it gets worse they will get louder but the cartels have been very powerful for decades and they are adapting to the next.........As a side note, Snowbirds and locals aren't crossing much, the newest thing is 1 hr kidnappings. Grab folks and head to an atm and get what they can...

Anyhoot, just expanding fwiw and fyi since you cut to the chase.
