More silly paranoia.  Shareholders generate asks.  Money makers can't block a higher ask with a lower one.  If shareholder sentiment is downbeat, the opening ask will naturally be lower than the previous share price.  That's the way the market works, not some silly collusion between a market maker and a company wanting a buyout.
Thompson is the only person who will decide if a buyout offer is acceptable or not.  He doesn't have to take a lowball offer.
Please stop littering this board with your paranoid fantasies.  They have nothing to do with reality.
