So, the entire process can't be automated. Still, Rocket and most brokers have the ability to automate everything up to underwriting review already. The automation that you are touting is already an option.
What Better is really changing is costs to the end user. Maybe that is why Better is losing money and won't turn a profit until Q3 or 2026 IF they hit their numbers (which presupposes rate cuts and origination increases). Rocket is profitable. UMW is profitable. Pennymac is profitable. Better is still bleeding.
