" Defamation doesn’t require someone to profit"

i never said it did...there were 2 different issues involved...defamation and manipulation...

"there isnt a case for defamation of character and unless he has been trading and profiting from his supposed "manipulation", theres nothing there either"

"Slinger repeatedly calls the CEO a “scumbag,” “liar,” and “fraud,”"

this is a chat board and yes, those are opinions...and the burden of proof is much higher for a public figure which Kim is...

" while pushing narratives of “fake factories” and “nonexistent product.”"

while one may not like the narrative, there is a case to be made for that OPINION...we have changed factories more than once without accomplishing any commercial production...and although "nonexistent product" may be viewed as inaccurate by some, there has not been any commercial production or sales...

"When those lies are posted in an investor forum, tied to market sentiment, and repeated daily with intent to influence perception"

first of all "lies"...thats a matter of opinion..."investor forum" can also be called a chat room...and who's to say how many here are actually investors or potential investors?...the tie to market sentiment is really neither here nor there and is only an opinion..." intent to influence perception"...pretty hard to prove "intent" vs simply voicing an opposite opinion...even if done repeatedly...

"it becomes market manipulation through misinformation."

you would need to PROVE market manipulation...there would need to be evidence, some sort of gain or motive...

"That’s two layers of potential liability — civil and regulatory."

and there is no proof of either...

"They document, they archive, and they wait until there’s measurable damage or a clear pattern. Then they act — decisively. If they choose."

and they also do nothing when theres nothing there...

"when someone crosses from “opinion” into knowingly spreading falsehoods to harm reputation and valuation, that’s not protected speech."

its all opinion unless you can PROVE otherwise...so yes, it IS protected...those "falsehoods" are not entirely unfounded...and your assumption as to intent is simply an opinion...

if the accusations of defamation and libel were so easy to charge then you might find yourself in a bit of a situation with your own post and posts...
