This is a pretty good article for other reasons. The EU's energy situation is suboptimal by their own design, to put it charitably. Media and regulators appear to have little understanding (or refuse to admit) that American natural gas is 1. The cleanest burning hydrocarbon, 2. Often produced as a byproduct, 3. When produced, it is much better for the environment to burn it rather than release it.
