they are just recirculating materials for click baits and create panic

Hi Eternal Patience - I hear you. But I was not referring to any particular article. This is just my opinion re the stock sale and its relationship to the ending of the conservatorship. I have seen some opinions that, to max out the odds of success for the sale (meaning a lot of demand resulting in a great price) they have to end it before any sale. I have see other opinions that they are not going to end the conservatorship just because they are going to sell a small piece of the Government's stake.
What I am saying is that both opinions, to me anyway, have an element of truth to them. Why would the Government give up total control with almost all the money still on the table? On the other hand, they want to establish the highest value possible of their remaining stake. Although its possible to do a sale without providing some clarity of the end of the conservatorship I believe (and could easily be wrong) that they would get a better price if folks had a better idea of what they are buying into. And, admittedly, I bought post 2008, and, like Lucy and the football, there would be periodic indications that the conservatorship is ending, but all to no avail. But I kept buying anyway. So I think it would be in the Government's advantage to let us all know what the plan is and, as a legacy holder, I can't see where this is going to hurt us.
