Pulte does not need to be working as FHFA Director and is giving his salary away to disabled Vets. Dont you think he cares enough about what the future of Housing Policy also to be the CEO of Fannie after he and Trump dismantle and reinvigorate Fannie and Freddie. They have to Exit sometime before a Dem President could be elected and that is in 2029 - if he stays on as CEO after Exit with a Board he selected - dont you think it makes sense that he would WANT to be CEO in 2029 and beyond for several years to make sure the policy initiatives continue? More than making things up - just speculating on what makes sense.
