Nvidia, High P/E, and the Chinese Threat – Strategic Risks for Investors

I understand your reaction, but dismissing this discussion misses the bigger picture. Nvidia may look like an enormous stock now, but China’s rapid technological development is real and systemic, not just hype. China is building AI chips, advanced semiconductor fabs, cashless financial systems, and smart cities at a scale that can rival and even surpass American tech companies.

China’s investments in semiconductor R&D, control over supply chains, and integration of AI into everyday infrastructure give them a concrete path to compete with companies like Nvidia in the near future.

We’ve seen what China is capable of: after the U.S. hype around ChatGPT, they released DeepSeek and effectively silenced much of Silicon Valley. China has many more innovations up its sleeve, waiting for the right moment to reveal them to the world.
