interesting, but certainly not all adjuvants are created equal. Shingrix has a very potent adjuvant (higher dose than in their RSV vaccine), and it would be interesting to see if there is a signal there. Same with Dynavax's hep B vaccine.
If someone ever wanted to study this prospectively you could use an empty LNP in an arm, but that is probably not practical and won't ever happen.
PS: my 85 yo mom always gets high dose flu which is not adjuvenated AFAIK
