"I asked Ben if he got the sense that with this new and improved Alpha line would by default set back production? 
He got a response from Jon Rice. See statement below:
“The parent strain for BAM-1 and BAM-1 Alpha are both diapausing so no change in our schedule for the release of eggs.  We have another batch of silkworms scheduled for release next week. 
 
Short answer, there is no change to our timeline based on the creation of this better hybrid.”
