Thank you for that deep dive. I'm mildly shocked to find that the historical quotations are muddled. My apprehension with Christian Nationalism's creep into both our political and educational systems is because it's another projection of T-Rex's "the tender hearted woman and the snake" story.

A different and religious slant on the Scorpion and Frog metaphor. In that story, both the frog and scorpion die. In his version, only the woman "Liberty" does.
