You cannot pick and choose arbitrary numbers that suit the arguement
That is why I said: If you go back to the beginning of the conservatorship, you will see the price of commons and the $25 preferreds were very close in price.
The lowest that Fannie was, was 12 cents. Now you do the percentage gain from 12 cents to 16 dollars. Vs 41 cents to 20 dollars.
Just looking at one of the $50 preferreds I have vs FNMA

Lowest: .19 - 7/9/2010
Highest: 15.99
FNMAP
Lowest: .20 - 11/21/2008
Highest: 25.03
Now you do the percentage gain from 19 cents to 16 dollars. Vs 20 cents to 25 dollars... FnF preferreds lead, not lag the commons.
