I guess, going by my predilections, it feels like I am a little (a lot) late to this stock. Heads up given by Kiwi. Obviously it has my interest as it "appears" that it could have some implication for RZLT. Here are a bunch of scatterbrained thoughts after only quickly looking at this:
1) Yahoo Finance describes AMLX as clinical stage and RZLT as late stage rare disease co.
2) How many patients are there in the Post Bariatric setting? Also hypoglycemia in those people is described as under recognized. That could mean untapped sales but also it could mean poor sales as the condition remains under recognized?
3) Results of phase 3 in 1H 2026 and approval 2027 for BH --- the thought out there is that it could replace RZLT's monoclonal antibody drug for HI but does approval for BH mean it can be used for all situations involving hyperinsulinism? Or are we thinking docs then go off label to use it?
4) Market cap for AMLX is almost double that of RZLT's but they are losing a bit more money.
5) Avg analyst target for RZLT is 14 so a possible 50% gain if achieved, whereas AMLX is already at the average analyst target (there is one target $10 higher).
It might seem that I posted negative things, but I am thinking AMLX is (was) a great opportunity. It is puzzling in both cases (AMLX and RZLT) that the stocks are charging higher a fair while before readouts. Usually those investing for the trial readouts do so much closer to the readouts. It is almost as though this is something else. Like a comment that I made on the RZLT board I wonder if there is BO (or partnership) interest from other Pharma?
There is a post from Ernie further down (Sept 17) talking about a possible a small retracement to 11.40, so I looked at the chart. Of course we know the chart means very little especially when it comes to these bios, but there is an unfilled gap around $10.60 plus or minus. Of course looking at where it is now for the stock to get down to fill that gap would mean something disastrous like bad news from the trial or a complete market meltdown. I hate chasing because then it means when it craps out it is that much further to fall. But the stock looks unstoppable, so on the slightest weakness I am thinking of grabbing at least a little.
I would like to know if anyone knows about the question I posed concerning this business of their drug for BH being used for the population which RZLT's drug would be for though.
