I have a very important question to the board here. As a concerned shareholder.
If they do the Fannie and Freddie IPO and decide instead of converting our FNMA & FMCC shares to the new IPO shares, just to cash us out at the market price on the day before the IPO day. Then those people who believe in investing in Fannie and Freddie will be forced to pay top dollar IPO prices to get their shares back. Just like the people who will be buying the stock for the first time after the IPO starts.
If this case happens the people doing the IPO will make out like bandids because they have a captive audience here as shareholders and everyone is paying top dollar (say $50/share) to get back in without making the profit from $13 to $50. Its another way to F_K up the shareholders without doing a reverse split or causing major losses to the current shareholders. I am sure Trump and Co. will be able to get to the $30B profits very easily with this scenario. We get F_Ked because we only make what we have today and nothing more.
Is this a possibility or am I too worried???
Enquiring minds want to know, badly.
