Remaining units 3,740,999 (24,555,556 - 20,381,112 - 433,444) are valued at $760k (assuming proportional loss: $16.38M × 0.17 × 0.90 – $1.62M).
The entire value of the HMBL's share was $16.38mil. They own 17% of that amount in July. Then 10% of that value less in August. To figure out it's loss in book value, you subtract what HMBL recorded as a loss - $1.62mil. Comes to $760k loss in book value. I wrote assuming proportional loss. That was a clue I was talking about loss of book value, but I was in a hurry. I wanted to finish my thought as it took some time to elaborate. I read what I wrote and concluded with $760k value. That was wrong. The company owns 7.5% of WSCG it's current valuation is not out of $35mil for the record, it is out of almost $33mil.
As for your calculations, I don't even think you know what you are calculating. Go back to my original calculations - just read loss of book value at the end.
