Helpful trick. You use Safari as a browser, I think. When you see the offending schtuff on a page, go up to the top of the browser page (where you type in a URL), In the left of that address box, you should see what looks like a little rectangle with 2 lines under it. Click on it, then click on the first item in the drop-down menu, "Hide Distracting Items".

Then you can click on each item on the web page you want to get rid of and watch it go "POOF". Finally, be sure to click on "Done" in the right side of the address box to return to normal browsing. A neat feature, I think.
