The Kirk response rightly deplores what a RW asshole he was.

Before his assassination on September 11, 2025, while speaking at an event in Utah, Charlie Kirk was known for a number of controversial and inflammatory comments.

On gun control and gun deaths:
Said gun deaths are "unfortunately worth it" to preserve the Second Amendment.

On racial issues:
He referred to Martin Luther King Jr. as a "myth" and called the Civil Rights Act a "huge mistake." He also made comments seen as dismissing Black competence and made demeaning statements about Black pilots.

On LGBTQ+ issues:
He advocated for a nationwide ban on gender-affirming care and refused to use preferred pronouns. Reports indicate that after his assassination, anti-fascist messaging and a homophobic slur were left behind by the shooter.

On political issues:
Kirk promoted the "Great Replacement" conspiracy theory and compared pandemic measures to "medical apartheid". He described the conviction of former President Trump as "pure evil" and compared the MAGA movement's struggles to historical military events.
