The “go-to guy” to answer this question is Amgad Elgowainy from Argonne National Laboratory. Amgad has decades of experience in this field, and for the last 10+ years he hasn’t done many other things than analyzing the prohibitive cost structure of hydrogen infrastructure and hydrogen vehicles

I'm not that impressed by his work. I've only read a couple of his reports, but he seems to be summarizing other people's work. He lumps all hydrogen production methods together and fails to acknowledge the environmental benefits of green hydrogen. I would hardly call home the "go-to-guy".
