Same here. But I just looked it up, and it seems it has some medical applications:

So maybe when fuagf was a kid, that was in play. But I'm not THAT much younger than he, and no one I ever knew was treated with hydrochloric acid for anything at all.

He might find that once this has mostly dried up, using a good moisturizer containing hyaluronic acid, and probably a good bubbly shower wash with it, would help. Olay makes a number of shower body wash products that really are VERY hydrating. Everyone should try 'em.
