Att: hap0206: Trump is ‘humiliated’: Sir Bill Browder reacts to 'weak' meeting with Putin

"This War Is About Money”
"Trump tries to rewrite history on being ‘fooled’ by Putin
[...]“I think Putin will” make peace, he said.
The US president is singing a very different tune today. In fact, he said Monday that on three or four occasions, he felt they had a deal in place, only for Putin to pull the rug out from beneath them and continue to hit Ukraine hard."

[...] The day of the great Trump appeasement
[...]When Neville Chamberlin returned to London after appeasing Hitler in Munich this is what Winston Churchill said:
You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war.
[...]The message is clear.
The bear is hungry. He’s coming to a Baltic nation very soon before moving on to Poland.

America’s sick president has created a police state, deployed the military against America’s cities, attacked dissent, freedom of speech, freedom of conscience and freedom of religion, while committing acts of corruption that have no precedent in American history.
He has trampled on the rights of US citizens, pardoned insurrectionist criminals, wrecked the economy, and weakened the western alliance of free nations. Yet all of that pales in comparison to what the incompetent Donald did in Alaska.
He started World War III.
My children will know war because of MAGA. Europe’s cities will burn.
The die is cast.
More than anything, it is the indecency and immorality of the spectacle in Anchorage that stands out.
The Russian dictator and murderer who sent an army of rapists and killers to desecrate Ukraine was warmly welcomed by an American president on American soil — which I read somewhere is “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
Friday, August 16, 2025, was a day of infamy and national disgrace.

Times Radio

Aug 16, 2025 The Trump Report
Sir Bill Browder joins Times Radio’s Maddie Hale for an in depth analysis of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin’s “humiliating” meeting where the US President left Alaska without a ceasefire, commitment to slap Russia with further sanctions or a peace deal being made.

When asked did he think Trump could say to Zelensky, 'This is the deal...' Browder says, 'No, because there is no proposal on the table. What Trump thinks, or says, has no consequence. It doesn't matter to Putin. Putin is not interested in land swaps, or in just taking some Ukraine land. Trump would agree to almost anything. Putin has put no proposal on the table to end the war. He wants all of Ukraine, nothing less. He knows if he makes a deal to end the war he will lose power, and that if he loses power he will die. He doesn't want the war to end. He is in it for his own physical survival. Trump knows Putin's position, he's just trying to meander his way politically through it. Trump on his return will feel humiliated. He will try to gaslight the American people, but nobody will buy it. He's at a low point and will have to try to figure out what to do. There is $300 billion of Russian money frozen and in world where finances are constrained Putin should be paying for his war.'

That said, Browder says, 'The only way the war will end is when Putin feels a boot on his
throat. US and Europe could cripple Russia economically, or militarily. They haven't yet.'
