I found it funny in regards to "football" you being from Britain I can understand the misunderstanding about the word/meaning.
My wife and I have had mutiple exchange students stay with us and they always talk about "football" which to them is obviuously soccer. Sometime when on the IHUB we forget ....the world is our stage :)
