Question? How old is your old vinegar? If less than a year, then probably no issue.

Like any food product, vinegar has a shelf life. If you want vinegar to do any good in salads, fried green peppers or to wipe it on your ass, it can't be over a year old. Apple cider vinegar has living organisms in it. It goes dead with age. Tastes like shit too. If the vinegar doesn't even make baking soda fizz when sprinkled in it, then it's way past useful for anything.
