And who did the voters vote into the White House? It certainly was not because the majority of voters liked Trump.

Many did. But what made the difference, especially for the independents, was growing costs. It always IS the economy, stupid. There was nothing wrong with Biden's, but people were concerned about the price of eggs. And by early fall last year--we could still have saved ourselves LESS THAN A YEAR AGO--the effect of most of Biden's programs hadn't yet begun to be felt.

The public has a very short memory. Quite a few hazily recalled the first Trump administration as a good time. It was not, but very few ever bother with even the sketchiest of research.

And so here we are, at the mercy of a president who is both stupid and insane. And very few people want to recognize that, presumably because if they did, it would frighten them. As it should.
