The solution is just upholding the US Constitution. If the government does what's right by Fannie and Freddie, the government can actually benefit by selling Ginnie Mae in an IPO. Using Patswil's valuation, FnF market value is $588 billion. The total valuation for MBS (including Ginnie Mae) is $840 billion. Won't be hard for President Trump to raise $250 billion in a Ginnie Mae IPO.
