The "after hours market" trades have been notoriously unreliable as an indicator of anything for the GSEs so far; however, I have a feeling that will be changing in the coming days or weeks - depending on progress behind the scenes. The more these little anomalies pile up the more probable they will eventually have some real underlying factor(s) driving them. As we all know bid/ask spreads and supply and demand for stocks have fundamental relationships that can only be violated for so long and secrets are nearly impossible to keep in D.C.
