EU to US:
- The average applied tariff rate by the US on imports from the EU is approximately 3-4% .
- Tariffs vary significantly by product category. For example:
- Agricultural products: can be higher, sometimes exceeding 10%.
- Industrial goods: generally lower, often below 3%.
- Automobiles: around 2.5%.
- Textiles and apparel: can be higher, sometimes 10-20%.

US to EU:
- The average applied tariff rate by the EU on imports from the US is roughly 3-5%
- Similar to the US, tariffs vary by product:
- Agricultural products: often higher, sometimes 10% or more.
- Industrial goods: typically low, around 2-4%.
- Automobiles: about 10%.
- Textiles and apparel: can be higher.
Tariffs on Services:
- Both the EU and the US generally do not impose tariffs on services.
- Trade in services is typically regulated through other measures such as licensing, regulations, and standards rather than tariffs.
- Barriers to trade in services are usually non-tariff barriers rather than customs duties.

New is a 15% tariffs levied on EU imports into the US ( aluminum and steel 50%) , Services no change. EU will invest ( buy ) 600 B in US goods ( buy US military equipment, agricultural product) . Most of this was planned anyway. Eu car industry is mostly hit ( and so is the US car industry for imported parts).
So tariff go up from 3-5% in 2024 to 15% from August ( was 25% from April).
