We are living in the best times. We can do many things we could not imagine during childhood. Most of us live far longer than the kings and queens did 200 years ago.

What is the best way to visit Europe, guided bus tour, cruise or self freedom tour? What are the top three Europe cities to visit? These are the hard questions for us when we decide to take kids to visit for the first time.

Finally, we decided to visit London, Uk by self freedom tour for 8 days first. UK may be the origin of modern democracy. Without UK, Napoleon or Hitler might have united the whole Europe and built a huge dictatorship country like Russia and China, and modern US and technology might not have existed.

The first day we landed at London international airport at noon. We took train to the Shard, the tallest building in UK. We ate Beijing duck while oversaw the whole London.

The second day we took the London Eye, Thames River cruise and visited Tower Bridge and the Greenwich where the time starts.

The third day we took the guided campus tour of Imperial College of London, the top two University in the world, and visited Hyde park and Science Museum.

The forth day we visited the Westminster Abby, Parliament, Big Ben and street concert.

The fifth day we visited the British Museum.

The sixth day we visited Tower of London and China Town, and we also took long walk along the northern shore of Thames River.

The seventh day we visited Windsor Castle and nearby Thames River.

The eighth day we visited the Wimbledon courts, and watched the 5 Wimbledon open tennis games including two China players and one Chinese British player.

Every day, we ate breakfast and lunch in restaurants, and cooked dinner by ourselves. So we got familiar with restaurants as well as supermarkets.

Every day, we talked with local London people and took train, subway, bus and tram. We understand that UK people like to be different. For example, they drive and walk on left side instead of right side of all other countries I know including other European countries. Their door lockers are totally different from I know in China, Canada and US: need lift the handle fully up before able to lock doors. They also like to criticize both government and monarchy. They are rebellious. These may be the reasons why UK has had so much positive influence in the whole world.

Next 7 days, we are going to visit Paris. We still have not decided which cities of Europe we should visit during the last two weeks. If you have any experience of visiting Europe, please be generous to share. Thank you!
