I want AI to tell me who hit the longest homerun in 1986 but if I need information that can have an effect on me financially I want to do the research myself and compare results from different sources I choose to use.
Also I have found this out from how I do things, using AFFU as an example, if I want to know about their financial filings I go to the OTC the site they file them on and then from their to the links that hold all of their disclosures I can go back on my own and find filings from 2019 forward and see what was the results for each quarter and annual report and read them to educate myself. If I just want the actual filling for the 3rd Q of 2020 I will ask AI to pull that report for me and it will have served its purpose. I do not want AI telling me what it says.
But hey I am now 76 and I do stuff the old school way... others who are younger are using the tech that is available to them and if thats what they need then have at it. When I was young and in the 8th grade the teachers would say..."dont copy your answers out of the encyclopedia because I will know you did it" today its "Dont use AI or I will know thats is just a copy of what someone else wrote" Short cuts have been around since man began to understand that knowledge was power... some just dont know how to blend self working discovery with computerized generated answers. The difference is discovering it yourself and just getting an answer with no work involved.
