Not that you asked, but my actual opinion is that Mamdani’s promise to freeze rents is what will likely doom him. His other promise to run free buses I like, but he hasn’t explained how to account for the revenue shortfall. And the idea of City run groceries is comical but not an election killer

Cuomo, might run as an Independent, Adams probably as a Republican so it’s far from over. We’re past the point of believing that being a disgraced politician means you can’t win elections. Giuliani won twice as a Republican as did Bloomberg so not an absolute “blue” situation
