Southeastern community bank CoastalSouth Bancshares sets terms for $59 million NYSE uplisting

CoastalSouth Bancshares, a community bank with 11 branches across South Carolina and Georgia, announced terms for its IPO on Tuesday. The company is currently listed on the OTC under the symbol "COSO."

The Atlanta, GA-based company plans to raise $59 million by offering 2.6 million shares (35% secondary) at a price range of $21.50 to $23.50. At the midpoint of the proposed range, CoastalSouth Bancshares would command a fully diluted market value of $281 million.

Operating as Coastal States Bank, the company offers a comprehensive range of banking products and services within the rapidly growing markets of the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Savannah, Georgia, and the Atlanta, Georgia MSA. As of March 31, 2025, it reported total loans of $1.7 billion, and has achieved a five-year compounded annual growth rate of 24% in total loans and 25% in deposits since 2019. Coastal States Bank maintains a strong focus on risk management, with nonperforming assets to total assets ratio at 0.70% as of 3/31/25.

CoastalSouth Bancshares was founded in 2003 and booked $75 million in revenue for the 12 months ended March 31, 2025. It plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol COSO. Piper Sandler is the sole bookrunner on the deal. It is expected to price during the week of June 30, 2025.
