ChatGPT has been putting the odds of merger lately at 90%-95%, but estimates merger will happen post-FID and be announced (Not closed) between September - December.
Long story short, everything gets de-risked after FID and a valuation floor is created where using the shell finally makes sense, but they likely won’t execute the merger until late 2025/early 2026.
They’ll need some time to finish securing everything before announcing the merger in order to firmly establish a valuation on the company, but not long after announcement is when this stock goes crazy and a clear multi-billion dollar valuation floor will be known to the market.
