Monks are up at 3:10 AM (and in bed at 8PM)

I once asked Br. Francis, "why 3:10?", meaning the quizzical ten minutes added to 3. He answered, "to pray."

I took that to mean they don't want to explain their rituals, keep the mystery. I respected that by not asking for further clarification.
