hap, i know nothing will have you see the truth in this. The thing is as war progresses and threatens more things resolve changes, it happens in all wars. Europe would have strengthened their resolve against Putin with or without Trump. His push for them to do it is positive, the way he does it is juvenile. It is a ridiculously irresponsible, non-thinking approach. And your "tough love" assertion, particularly as attributed to Trump, is bullshit. Trump has affection for Putin 'cuz he is a strongman leader, and a dislike of Zelensky because he is a good leader, and because Trump is neither. Both in their own ways are running rings around him. But love? Trump has no love for any of the players, let alone tough love.
