One last time,,,,,,,,McKinley had accomplished his goals of protecting American industry.....He was ready to tone them down and start negotiations on trade.......You'd know that if you'd read the speech

Teddy kept the tariffs and didn't negotiate trade......leading to problems....But he did fight for the workers and started that revolution...... There would have been nothing to fight for had industry not been protected.....

Tariffs not only protect, or in our case can help reshore some needed industry....They are a needed tool in negotiation.

Gotta get past the courts and the endless fighting for the status quo.....Change is needed like it or not, doesn't mean there wont be pain to right the wrongs that put the US and its workforce at a disadvantage around the world....
