It really depends on where you live, I should think. There are plenty of places in America, small rural towns in particular, that might thrive if a clothing factory came to town. Those towns have been dying a slow death for decades because there are no opportunities for people to get a decent job and to raise a family.
Now, working in a factory would not be something that I would care to do, but we need to open our eyes and understand that not every place in America is not the same.
I don't see people today craving to work in a clothing factory.
