I don't see people today craving to work in a clothing factory.

Nor do I. But you never know. It would be a question of doing the same tasks mechanically, all day long. Not really different from working on an assembly line in, say, a plant where automobiles are made. Except that the latter is more prestigious? Why is that more prestigious? Because it pays better.

I don't have to add that work in clothing factories is usually done be women, and that work in car manufacturing facilities is usually done by men.

But that's a question for another day.
