Netherlands is still betting big on wind power.

Currently we have roughly 6 GW on land and 4 GW at sea. Total 10 GW wind power.
The total energy requirement is close to 25 GW.

They are targeting 70 GW of wind power at sea by 2050.
To give you an idea, our 4 nuclear reactors combined are less than 6 GW.

I don't think they will add 70 GW of wind power at sea. But who knows. I'm not aware of the economics.

Even if they do add 70 GW of wind by 2050, I think we will still have a shortage.
They are underestimating the energy need of the future, as we have discussed.
It could easily be 250 GW by 2050, IMO. Up from 25 GW currently.

We are going to need a mix of wind, solar, nuclear and nat gas.
And we will need more than 4 nuclear reactors.
