Ahhh, you need to put your rats in a cage when you're not there, or overnight, because otherwise they'll chew your electric cords, and other stuff as well. Chewing is important to them, because their teeth don't stop growing. As with bunnies. (Oh! You could also get a bunny!!)

But they don't mind cages. It's a home for them, and they enjoy arranging their stuff in it. And get pissed off if you put any of it in different places.
