Did it ever dawn on you that just maybe they are, like you say, 'discredited' because authoritarian governments don't necessarily prefer independent journalism?

Just asking, not trying to provoke anything and I'm definitely not going to dig deeper but it's something you might like to ponder before you start throwing state propaganda around.
