Yes. I do believe so. A strong masculine man and a God believing/fearing confident male would never reply to a poster with, "yes dear".

I've worked in IT for so long and read so many emails. A guy would not say, "yes dear"

While I do respect the phrase, my great aunt used to answer me that way. I miss her bunches.
