A stock slit can either be a forward split or a reverse split. You're only posting the definition of the forward split. You're taking that phrase...

...at exact face value assuming they mean a forward split.

My guess is they worded it like that on purpose and it can be interpreted to mean a forward split OR a reverse split because the ratio could be X / 1 or 1 / X. The "exact ratio" hasn't been determined.

If their goal is to get PPS higher for some reason, they'd need to RS.

If their goal is to get more shares in the market, they'd need to grow the PPS by a large amount organically before performing a regular forward split. (this is what I hope for)
