Good catch Tweed Meister! Either way, it does matter.
I have not been able to directly tie Delfin to this announcement but if crumbs were used to place bets, then this is a very significant crumb!
Let's assume for the moment that this does relate to Delfin.
It says that the boys can walk and chew gum at the same time. (Duh) They just announced SEFE and are no doubt in serious negotiations with current HOA's and prospective new clients to push them over the line to FID on either 1 or 2 FLNG's. One recent Dud's quote (recent being relative) stated that FID on 2 FLNGs or #2 hot on #1's heals.
For consideration:
- Black and Veatch and Samsung Heavy are carrying the construction ball for Delfin
- Marinetrans specializes in large scale, global, supply chain and logistic projects.
- Marinetrans is located in Norway
- Delfin's management and project team are located in Norway. (Poston, London if you believe LinkedIn and Bill D in Florida/Texas)
- If you want oversight and control of your project, it makes sense to use an experienced logistics company like Marinetrans located next door.
- Contract for 2 FLNG's if you know that either way, #2 will be ordered very soon after.
- The timing fits the project's timeline.
- It further lends credence to the idea that Samsung Heavy has reserved a slot for Delfin.
- It further supports just how tight lipped the boys are.
- Tariffs threw a short-term wrench into global initiatives. They are coming back online particularly in the energy sector.
- LinkedIn is the bible for business related social media. Delfin's last post re SEFE garnered close to 160+ reactions, many by Latham & Watkins, Black & Veatch, Cedar and others.
- The Delfin Project is now front and center in the FLNG world.
From all the previous inputs by the board re timing etc., it all makes sense. SPA's in the coming days/weeks and even better news soon after. And yes, maybe even the RM first.

A public service message to whomever keeps dumping into the bid at market's end. We will find you and we will deport you!
