You can believe as you please. The last of the original patents expired in 2022. There is no evidence whatsoever that any of RDGL's "Improvements" have any performance advantages over the original now public domain version.
Mayo docs don't give a rat's rear about RDGL's IP protections or lack thereof. The Mayo doc's want a Y90 injectable gel to trial for patient treatments and are happy for RDGL to pay them to do so. If anything (assuming success getting to market), Mayo would be happier with a low cost generic product vs. an expensive product with robust patent protections.
The big payout potential for RDGL evaporated with failure to get to market before the original patents expired. Sad they didn't even try.
