How many companies had to scramble after the BF Borgers fiasco? Plus I can name many other SEC reporting companies that went south. The most recent one I follow was ZRFY. They ripped off investors for over 20 years.
Another scammer, Joseph Wade Mezey had several companies that were SEC reporting which turned out to be proven scams and now are on the Expert Market. Yes, SEC reporting especially in the OTCM is sketchy at best.
