I think if he figured he had a really good thing going selling drugs and washing the money through his "investment companies"... Could have been washing for others as well, plenty of money for toxic loans and buying and selling stocks. It looks to me he lost control a couple years ago when he started ripping off his partners in the toxic loan business. The condo he's living in rents for around 22,000 a month or more and would sell for around 5 million.
I'm very sure the Feds would think the same thing and are looking very closely at that. As they say, follow the money.
