Of course a person could speculate that the reason they halted MMM at 3:00 on a Friday is because they want the "huge news" to sink in all weekend.
or.....
They wait for Monday Am and release the news and still get maximum effect.
or........

Monday morning they find the offices empty and the staff gone???
